Supportive Housing
Our supportive housing program in Lucas County is for homeless individuals and families whose head of household has a disability and the family’s income is at or below poverty level. A qualifying disability may be a physical disability, mental illness or addiction.
The goal of our program is to help clients obtain the skills and resources to live independently. Our staff secure open market housing, manage government subsidies, and obtain support services to assist the client in developing stability and self-sufficiency.
Case Managers help clients develop goals, and plans to achieve those goals. Clients are assisted in developing strategies to increase their household income through employment, additional education and training, and other avenues to provide the means necessary for financial stability. Case managers connect clients with community resources and ensure their needs are met for food, furniture and household items to assist in providing a sense of normalcy and stability as they embark on their journey toward independent living.
